Can You Paint Over Waxed Furniture. You may get products from your local jobber that will help remove wax and properly prep the surface before painting. Honestly, i rarely wax over chalk painted furniture anymore.

Valspar clear mixing glaze and a sample pot of behr ashwood (both optional). I actually prefer tinting my own wax over purchasing. I made this super short video on how to add a wash of chalk paint onto a piece that is already waxed.
Painting over laminate can be an easy process with great results.
I love minwax paste finishing wax. That said, i like to take a 120 to 220 grit sandpaper and give it a light sanding before. You can't paint over a waxed piece. This process is almost exact to how i prep each piece of furniture i paint.
