I do know that my previously posted method is sound and safe. Tile, cars, painted surfaces, and laundry. It's important to note, though, that some hardwood floor professionals actually advise against using murphy's oil soap on hardwood floors.

I've used it on carpet stains, laundry, my couch, pillows, the stairs, pretty much everything i can think of and it has yet to fail me!
